About the event
How much time do we spend editing and rephrasing ourselves? As a second language migrant, I always worry I may use the wrong type of words. But for everyone some words are not encouraged at the workplace, in our family of origin, in our friendships. We are encouraged to keep versions of our expressions away from the centre. What happens to those words that hide?
Bring them in, note them on a piece of paper. We'll put lots of them in a bucket and then pick some to form new phrases/poems/ stories and rehabilate them and recenter them in our life.
This workshop is part of the Anti-university: its aim is to encourage everything that is marginalised to come back at the centre for a bit.
